STEAM LEGO Interactive Treasure Hunt Half Day Campand hands-on projects in math, coding, engineering, science, and LEGO engineering (7-9 and 10-12)!
July 13 @ 1:00 pm - July 17 @ 5:00 pm EDT$249
In the Escape from Nefertari’s Tomb, adventurers are trying to find the missing artifact and the location of a mysterious meeting. Our adventures require critical-thinking, detective skills and can be done together with the family or independently with our interactive help via instructors. Students ages 7 to 12 are grouped with their age group (7-9 and 10-12)!
Our online STEM camp structure is based on hands-on electives (individual activity with Instructor guidance and troubleshooting) wrapped in a fun online treasure hunt with up to 6 students (similar ages) and instructor working together to solve the mystery. There is a different treasure hunt or escape room theme each week. Kids earn points towards unlocking the escape room by accomplishing the 3 hands-on project electives.
Group teamwork activity with peers to find missing artifacts, secret decoder rings, virtual escape rooms, and hidden clues in an exciting competition! This jam-packed STEM week will include daily hands-on projects (pick one out of four electives)! Each day your child will enjoy 2 hours of live, interactive, online time with instructor and students as well as 2 hours of offline activities with instructor available for help, troubleshooting and grading of elective submissions for points on the leader board. Students are in a group with other kids their age. Grade level taken into consideration for Math elective (elective for some of the weeks). The right balance between online and offline activities. Instructor to student ratio is 1 to 6 with one on one attention when needed during hands-on projects.
Robot Academy Online Camps: The goal of our online camps is to provide a balance between online interactive instruction and hands-on STEM activities. We want to encourage creative problem solving with trial and error experimentation, but help the student before he or she is frustrated and before he or she runs to their parent for help. Our camps provide highly engaging, individual attention to the student that is tailored to their class level in order to build confidence in STEM. We want to provide a fun, safe, social learning environment for the students and also provide the parents with free time during business hours since many parents are working from home.
To this cause, we balance online and hands-on activities with the instructor available for one-on-one help as well as group collaboration and instruction similar to our in-person camp environment. The student is not online the whole time, but has access to help as they work thru exciting STEM challenges.
