Parents of 8 year-old can decide if they want their child in the Jr camp (Students are exposed to Building and Coding as the Instructors guide the students) or Sr camp (students are given instruction to build and code and instructors help when needed).

Lego BattleBot Engineering, Invention and 3D Printing MegaCamp

Turn your child’s love of LEGO into a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Instructors inspire students to become engineers, programmers, inventors and entrepreneurs.  Robot Academy is Columbus’ original LEGO Robotics and STEM camp. Our founders won the First Lego League World Championship two years in a row (first place in robotics out of 10,000 teams) and have also won numerous national invention and science competitions. Robot Academy opened over 12 years ago and has taught thousands of young students. Many of our camp graduates have gone on to win their own international championships.  It’s the ultimate STEM experience.  Registration includes a Robot Academy t-shirt.

Our most popular option for budding engineers who love LEGOs is the MegaCamp. This camp combines our 5-day morning and afternoon camps with a supervised lunch break in-between. Students complete robot challenges to earn points in the morning and afternoon sessions. The trophies at the end of the camp are based on points earned by accomplishing robot challenges in the morning and afternoon sessions, so students have twice the chance to win tall trophies to reward their achievements. Award ceremonies are a fun celebration of our students’ talents. Our instructors provide individual help for students to ensure success.

The morning session of the camp focuses on Lego Robotics InventionLAB and 3D Printing.

Bring your ideas to life! We teach ‘rapid prototyping’, a technique that involves quickly building prototypes of invention ideas using LEGO Robotics or 3D printers. Kids design and build custom inventions with the help of their instructor and then present their prototypes to a Shark Tank panel (like on the TV show)! Kids enjoy presenting killer pitches to the encouraging judges Students complete robot challenges to earn points to win tall trophies to reward their achievements. We have individual help from Instructors to make sure that all students not only win trophies, but also gain confidence and a big smile. Students engage in programming, engineering, collaboration, problem-solving, data analysis, 3D Modeling and critical thinking.

The afternoon part of the camp focuses on building and programming robots.

Codey Rocky: STEM Explorers Camp (PM Camp)

Enroll your child in our dynamic summer camp and ignite their passion for STEM through the thrilling world of coding and robotics! Specifically crafted for young minds, this enriching program introduces the fascinating Codey Rocky robot, designed to captivate with challenges like navigating mazes, engaging in BattleBot showdowns, and strategizing in laser tag competitions, all while reinforcing the core principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Each session is a step towards mastering problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork, facilitated by our seasoned instructors through interactive, hands-on projects. This course promises not just to lay a robust foundation in coding and robotics but also to equip your child with essential future skills. Seize the chance to position your child at the forefront of the digital era—sign up now and witness their transformation into innovative creators and thinkers!  Students also complete robot challenges to earn points to win trophies in order to reward their achievements. Instructors provide individual help to make sure all students win trophies and are happy campers.Robot Academy is a Qualified Education Service Provider (QESP) with Ohio ACE.
